This is a wonderful children’s Bible story book. Stories retold by Bonnie Rickner Jensen and illustrated by Julie Sawyer Phillips, Is a great blible for children. It includes sixteen different Bible stories and an introduction and closing prayer that makes any child smile.

This book presents major characters and stories of the Bible in a way that is easy to understand. The illustrations keep the attention involved in the stories.

The stories are very faithful to their Bible counterparts and present a strong foundation for small children. I would highly recommend this book.

The Treasure of God’s Word by Jack Countryman is another gift book. It is an attractively hardcover book with a soft leathery feel. The pages have golden edge and the books general appearance is one of quality and value.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed in how little history there was to a book that is celebrating 400Th year of the King James Version of the Bible. I do appreciate the up lifting encouraging verses but I was expecting a lot more.
